Quality Control at OrQuest

Quality Control at OrQuest

Quality control is our specialty, and two activities we undertake set us apart from other research agencies.

Audio auditing: At least 10% of interviews of each enumerator for each quantitative survey is audio-recorded randomly using uses SurveyCTO. This is done to check quality of the interviews, and to take corrective actions when necessary. Audio auditing is possible due to OrQuest’s grasp over conducting computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) based surveys.

CAPI is preferred over PAPI (pencil and paper interviewing) surveys because it saves time on data cleaning after completion of data collection. OrQuest has an in-house facility for CAPI scripting and testing. As mentioned earlier, OrQuest uses SurveyCTO as their CAPI platform which is being widely used by leading organizations, like World Bank Group, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and Harvard University in over 165 countries of the world. At present we have 120 tablets of well-known brands like Samsung and HUAWEI in our disposal.

Independent Quality auditing: OrQuest has a permanent Quality Auditor, who works independently of Field Operations Team, and reports directly to the Managing Director. In addition to the normal quality control measures taken by the field team, our Quality Auditor and his team back-check and sometimes spot-check field work of Field Interviewers, Field Supervisors and Field Controllers.

Furthermore, we pursue the following steps in data entry processing, and analysis to uphold data quality:
